Critical thinking for kids at school

How we live, the quality of our life, what we produce and build depends on our ability to think critically. Critical thinking should be the foundation of school education.

Critical thinking is a high-order thinking ability or skill. This is far more than just memorising things. Critical thinking for kids means being able to analyse facts, evaluate, create and innovate. We can observe the shift towards teaching more of critical thinking at schools compared to old fashioned facts memorisation.

More and more subjects use critical thinking and creative thinking as a glue to connect various subjects together as creative work does not have any borders or limitations and goes far beyond the boundaries of one subject.

Critical thinking is linked to creative thinking as creative thinking is like a powerful force, a spark driving the innovation and expansion of human knowledge. Creative and critical thinking is all about looking at things differently, in an unusual way and seeing new ideas. That’s why more and more schools are looking at blending subjects, mixing various topics in order to push students out of the boundaries of search for new unknowns.

To learn these skills you may enrol your child into our weekly online or face-to-face “TRIZ for Kids Creative Thinking and Problem Solving” program.
